When I access Banner, I have two browser windows open. Is this normal?

During your Banner Finance Training, you will be required to complete an Information Technology Services Computer Security Agreement form. The computer security agreement form describes the terms and agreement relative to system acces. Here is a link to the Computer Security Agreement form:

- When I access Banner, I have two browser windows open. Is this normal?
Two browser windows are actually opened when Banner is initiated. There will be a blank browser window, which is gray or white, & will have the Banner URL in the address line. In the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, it will be listed as "IN Banner." The other browser window will be the Internet Native Banner Window. This will look like a coffee cup & be listed as "Banner Internet Native" on the task bar at the bottom of the screen.
- I want a printer within my department defined on Banner. What should I do?
Submit an erequest & from the erequest main menu:
Select Network Access, Forms & System Hours request option & then select Banner Printer Installation. The process may take up to 48 hours to complete since it involves several steps:
The printer will require an ethernet network card.
Upon receipt of the erequest the following steps will be undertaken by the IT Department:
Activate the Printer on the Network - Client Services Team
Define the Printer on the Network - Network Team
Define the Printer on the UNIX Server - Jim Garrison
Define the Printer within Banner - Randy Klein
- Can my computer handle SCT Banner?
Minimum Computer Requirements are as follows:
• Intel Pentium III or Better
• 512 MB of RAM
• 12 MB of total disk space
• Windows XP or better
- What happens if my Banner application freezes?
If you are unable to navigate in Banner, your session may be locked or frozen. You will need to end the session by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete at the same time, then click on the end task button in the two window dialog boxes that will follow. If you receive an F45 Runtime Error, end all tasks & reboot your PC. This error might represent a memory issue. Please contact Support Central at 210-485-0555. - Can I duplicate a previous query?
Yes, if you press F7 twice you can duplicate the previous query from a query form.
