TITANTITAN Projects

Fall 2004, ACCD began replacing the core administrative systems (Finance, Human Resources, and Student Information System, Financial Aid) with the fully integrated Oracle based Banner system. The TITAN project also includes the implementation of the Portal and other ancillary software applications. The projects are estimated to be completed over a four year period. The new systems will enable ACCD to provide more effective and efficient services for the growing needs of its students, faculty and staff.

Banner

Banner is the enterprise administrative system used by students, faculty and staff of the Alamo Community Colleges. ACCD Information Technologies is in the process of implementing the Banner system and related applications.

CAPP

CAPP

TITAN Project list also includes the implementation of the CAPP system which is a degree auditing/checking system within Banner. CAPP tool can be used to measure student's progress towards meeting their Degree/Program requirements and using self service options help to make decisions on academic success. CAPP can be a valuable tool for advisors.

This projects objective is to implement a Total Asset Management Solution for ACCD that manages all aspects of the Asset Lifecycle model from Asset Acquisition to Disposal. Asset Management system will be fully interfaced with the Banner application and complement the Fixed Assets features available within the Banner application.

Information Access Initiative

Information Access Initiative

The scope of this project includes system wide enterprise and departmental reporting strategies, tools, training strategies, report development strategies and priorities. SAS BI tool set will be used as the single reporting/queries solution for the entire enterprise using enterprise and department data sources. The system also has facilities for constructing enterprise Dashboards and Scoreboards.

As a part of the TITAN initiative, ACCD Information Technologies will create a task force to begin evaluating a tool for tracking student lab services, attendance tracking, staff tracking, appointment tracking, media tracking, application tracking and to conduct lab web site traffic analysis. The application will be fully integrated with the Banner Student Information System.

TITAN Project list also includes the implementation of a facilities reservation and tracking system with powerful reporting features designed to optimize ACCD's usability of facilities resources. The application will be fully interfaced with Banner application.
