Desktop Replacement Plan
As a full-time employee or a faculty, you are entitled to a workstation loaded with key applications and resources. Please contact your college Technology Services department to request a workstation for your use.
If you are an employee or faculty member from the following colleges choose your campus:
San Antonio College
St. Philip's College
Palo Alto College
Northwest Vista College
If you are an employee of the District Administrative offices, We have implemented a Desktop Replacement plan.
ACCD has established a central budget to replace computer equipment for District Administrative offices on a regular cycle. The goals of this initiative are to provide sufficient technology for employees to fulfill his/her job duty, establish minimum standards for use of technology and encourage planning, installation of new equipment. The CIO and District Director of Information Technologies will serve as a Budget officer and will be the final decision maker on the Desktop Replacement budget. The Desktop Replacement Committee is made up of members from the various district departments and will advise the CIO on technology decisions. The Desktop Replacement committee will review and revise the procedures on an annual basis:
Replacement Schedules:
Computer equipment will be replaced during the summer months. Early Spring, the Desktop replacement committee will submit department needs and review computer configurations. Department requests will be reviewed and approved by the ACCD IT Technical Support. April/May, individuals scheduled for equipment replacement are notified of replacement schedule and process. The new equipment will arrive in July and installed during July/August in time for the new fiscal year.
