Overview
of course:
This course is structured around these 6 distinct components of Information
Systems: The Hardware, Software, Network, Internet, Systems, and
Computers and Society. Chapter quizzes and exams are found in the
e-portal website using WebCT. This is a hybrid class and meets only on
Mondays and the rest of the work is done online. Important: All email
communication must be done exclusively on the eportal website.
Minimum System and Software Requirements: As this course uses the
Internet as an integral part of the instruction, some minimum system
requirements are required
- Pentium class processor (200 MHz or faster)
- 128 MB RAM.
- Min of 800 x 600 screen resolution.
- Microsoft Windows 2000/XP (XP
Preferred).
- Microsoft Office2003: or 2007 Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Internet Explorer 6 or better and/or Netscape Navigator 7.0 or better
