OFFICE HOURS : Will be posted on my office door. These are intended primarily for on campus students. Web-based students will find use of electronic communication much more effective.
ATTENDANCE : As a web student, if you turn in your homework on time and take your tests when required, you don't need to worry about attendance. If you don't, expect receiving one or more email messages from me. Repeated failure to reply to such messages will be grounds for being dropped
HOMEWORK : In this course we will be covering the foundations of programming. Your homework will consist of 6 or more programming projects that can be found on the schedule page . You will acquire some hands-on experience by doing preparation activities found PC Activities column of your schedule.All assignments are expected on the indicated due date.
LATE HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. CONSULT THE LAB GUIDELINES HANDOUT FOR THE PARTIAL LIST OF UNACCEPTABLE REASONS FOR NOT TURNING YOUR HOMEWORK IN. EXCUSES ARE RARELY ACCEPTED; THEY ARE ALWAYS ACCOMPANIED BY OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION.
UNIT EXAMS : All exams will be multiple choice, T/F and mix/match. These will require the use of the blue NCS scantron sheets, (form # :19641) which you are responsible for purchasing and bringing for the exams. The exams may cover any material introduced in web lecture notes, as well as reading assignments. The dates for these exams are given on the schedule page. No make-ups will be given except in case of (well documented !) emergency.
