WYSIWYG - What You See Is What You Get:

A number of programs, called WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors allow you to create web pages without seeing the HTML. These software applications save time since you do not have to apply HTML code. But, web editors should know basic HTML code as it is important to understand what is going on behind the scenes so that you can edit the code by hand if necessary.
