  • On-line courses offer the ultimate flexibility
    • Everyone has the same amount of time.  How you manage your time will impact your success.
    • Internet courses are available 24 hours each day for you to work when you Internet access.
    • You must schedule a minimum of nine to twelve hours for each on-line class.
  • Establish a daily time to study away from distractions
    • External Distractions - are those thing around you that interfere with your study time
      • Establish a study area away from external distractions such as
        • The telephone
        • Radio
        • Television
        • Children
        • Snacks
        • Cigarettes,
        • Pets
        • Photographs
        • Windows
        • Or other external distractions.
    • Internal Distractions - are those things within your body that distract you from your study.
      • Take care of as many Internal Distractions as possible before you sit down to study.
        • Concern about things you need to do
        • Headache
        • Hungry
        • Sleepy
        • Thoughts about leisure time activities
        • Worry about bill you must pay
        • etc
  • Consider what kind of person you are
    • Are you at your best in the morning, in the afternoon, or at night?
    • Plan your study time when you are at your best.
