Health Information Systems

The Health Information Systems (HIS) programs prepare Allied Health professionals to work with healthcare documentation in a variety of healthcare settings.

The various HIS program options provide training for students to obtain marketable skills for immediate entry into the workplace.  Program graduates can receive an Associate of Applied Science or a Certificate of Completion in the various health information career opportunities in Health Information Technology, Coding and Medical Transcription.

All program curricula have been developed in cooperation with an Advisor Committee comprised of health information professionals from the local and surrounding community and in compliance with appropriate accrediting agency requirements.  Each program option satisfies entry-level requirements and provides an foundation for career advancement.
